Historical Florence villa and country residence in the zone of Chianti Classico near San Casciano Val di Pesa

Villa Il Poggiale and Podere Le Case are the two rural properties of sister bed and breakfast acccomodation in Florence, Antiche Dimore Fiorentine.

Both are located just twenty minutes from Florence near San Casciano Val di Pesa, the heart of the Chianti Classico wine-growing area.

The main structure, Villa Il Poggiale, is the historical residence.

Once a patrician noble villa during the Renaissance period, it has now been entirely restored will all the comforts expected for a country stay in Tuscany, but with the original typology and atmosphere of the house retained.

As well as air conditioning, a fine outdoor swimming pool and a well stocked wine cellar, meetings, workshops and events, such as wedding receptions, can be held throughout the year. 

For anyone staying at Il Poggiale, a light lunch and buffet dinner are also part of the package.

Lunch is served on request during the summer in the "Tinaia", the ancient olive oil store room overlooking the pool. You will enjoy a selection of Tuscan cold cuts and cheese from the farm as well as our summer salads.

A warm buffet dinner by Chef Leo can be offered to guests as a dine "at home" option. The menu is based on the best of Tuscan tradition and the recipes use only local produce in season.

Podere Le Case is three apartment suites located in the hamlet of Santo Stefano, Greve in Chianti, just 22 kms from Florence.

Converted from a traditional Tuscan farmhouse properties, they offer four, three or two bedroom apartments stays. 

The whole environment is both spacious and and cozy and ideal for large families.

The houses are surrounded by olive trees and the garden is suitable for 'al fresco' dining. 

Guests can enjoy a 90msq swimming pool and the Ugolino Golf Course just only 13 km away.
