Agazzano CastleMarch 2009 in Castello di Agazzano, province of Piacenza, sees the first edition of Sorgentedelvino.

Sorgentedelvino natural wine event. The exhibition highlights wine which has been made only with natural methods based on the traditions and local territorial know how from the past. In other words: 'nel segno della terra e dell’anima del vignaiolo'.

The event takes place in the splendid 15th century Castello Anguissola Scotti of the town. Over 50 cantine and more than 300 wines are represented, most made in very limited quantities.

Take the opportunity to compare the Nebbiolo of Langa in Piemonte with that of Valtellina in Lombardia, or Sicilian wines with those of Campania.

All are little known artisan jewels whose production normally does not escape local confines and are difficult to find.

Also taking part are the few Italian producers who are part of the 'Associazione di Viticoltori Biodinamici Renaissance des Appellations' which was founded in France by Nicolas Joly, producer of 'Coulée de Serrant'.

Inspired by Gino Veronelli, the initiative Sorgentedelvino, focuses especially on the territory between the River Po and the Appennines in the province of Piacenza.

The event has the support of the Strada del Po e dei Sapori della Bassa Piacentina and Strada dei Vini e dei Sapori dei Colli Piacentini
