Park of the River Po Delta nature itineraries
You really do need a guide to get the best out a visit to the delta , or simply to be taken to the right place and the right time to not miss out on some spectacular sights. Bird watchers know all about this.
A typical day excursion includes a morning tour of the Abate Tower and Gran Bosco della Mesola. Visitors are taken around on a 'Tartarughino', a small electric pullman ideal for not scaring away the wildlife. Afternoon sees a tour of the old water roads or 'antiche vie d’acqua' by boat from Goro or Gorino.
The itinerary takes in the Sacca di Goro, the River Po itself and visit to the Torre della Finanza, as well as a visit to the Museo del Cervo at Castello di Mesola. The boat trips are suitable for large groups and both trips must be booked beforehand.
