The Salina Doc Fest is an International Competition for Documentary Fictions “Borders and Horizons”. In their own words, theydescribe the event as a festival of the Mediterranean people promoting environmental preservation through the organization of picture exhibitions, artistic performances and events on the environ theme, so to contribute to the growing of a renewed ecological awareness, particularly among the young generations.
It is a social-engaged festival, through the development of didactic activities in the schools of the island, by putting attention to the problems of the inhabitants of the Aeolian archipelago, by concurring to the social and cultural growth of the people of Salina and of the Aeolian Islands.
