Annual Italy Events

Celebration of Santo Stefano is on the 26th of December, Santo Stefano- early in the morning, the residents of this city awaken and don clothing of the time of Christ. Over a thousand people, all dressed in epoch costumes and assuming Biblical roles, intermingle for a day that bridges time back to the origins of Christianity. The city dwellers become actors for they day and they interact with themselves and visitors as if they were actually living two thousand years ago. The effect is stupendous and shouldn't be missed by anyone who is close to the area!
