This original week long Rome cooking tour by In Italy Tours is located in the Castelli Romani, about 30 minutes from central Rome.
It has been designed to allow the visitor to meet local people, dine with them, cook with them and see close up their daily life in the famous Roman Hills, not least to explore local food in the company of celebrated chef Anna Dente.
Your base is Lanuvio and the tour includes visits to such wonderful places as Frascati, San Cesareo, Nemi, Genzano di Roma and Castel Gandolfo.

DAY 1 - FRASCATI
Transfer to hotel in Frascati and welcome dinner.
DAY 2 - PALESTRINA
Cooking class with Sora Anna Dente and enjoy the authentic dishes you’ve created with Anna in her osteria.
After lunch, tour of Palestrina and guided visit.
Evening at leisure with recommend choice of restaurants.
DAY 3 - TUSCULUM
Free morning to explore Frascati.
Afternoon excursion to Tusculum and an invigorating “passeggiata” followed by visit to Castel Gandolfo for wine tasting.
Dinner restaurant overlooking Lake Albano.
DAY 4 - NEMI
After breakfast, travel to Nemi to enjoy an aperitivo of prosecco and wild strawberries.
Cooking class with Maria who owned a trattoria in the area for more than 20 years.
After lunch, visit to the famous and partially restored Temple of Diana.
Evening at leisure.
DAY 5 - GENZANO
Morning tour to Genzano famous for it's bread production and visit to local baker.
Lunch at local trattoria in Marino.
Transport back to Frascati and rest of day leisure.
DAY 6 - ARRICIA
Ariccia and lunch in a fraschetta outside the Chigi Villa, after a short walking tour of the town.
Farewell dinner in the home of Laura among the vineyards outside the town of Lanuvio. she’ll prepare dishes passed down by generations and recreated in her own distinct style.
Transfer to Fiumicino airport or train station.
