Vinum Bonum has now become a popular annual event.
For those unfamiliar with the initiative, it is a series of wine and typical product tasting evenings in a selection of cantinas across Trentino.
Each date features a live classical music quartet playing amidst the barrels to accompany the guests. Very civilized.
There are typically around 15 appointments until mid September.
The Cantina Castel Noarna is one of the most atmospheric of all the locations for Vinum Bonum.
Although they have only been producing wine since 1989 the ancient castle and home of the Lodron family in the Vallagarina would lead you to believe this is one of Europe's oldest producers.
The vineyard produces both red and white, typical of other producers in the valley, and is matured in a 15th century atmosphere ideal for its flavor and conservation.
