The Art, Food and Wine Tour of the Castelli Romani by In Italy Tours is new for 2013 and runs just once, from 31st October - 7th November.
The aim of the tour is to get you beyond Rome and enjoy a relaxed immersion in art, authentic roman cuisine, wine tasting and history.
But not only, your trip will be dedicated to creating your own sketchbook record of the Roman countryside which has been inspiring travellers since the Grand Tour.

An exclusive culinary adventure meeting chefs, cooks and locals of Calabria.
We will take you on a journey into the hidden villages of the mountainous Pollino to the coastal areas of Vibo Valentia to visit our favorite towns and villages, many of which you would never find in a guide book.

In Italy Tours was set up by Tania Pascuzzi who was born in Australia to Italian parents.
Tania has since moved to Italy and now resides in Calabria where from where her tour services consultancy is based.

This wonderful cooking vacation in the Castelli Romani or Roman Hills is a shorter break version of the full Rome food and wine tour put together by In Italy Tours.
The emphasis is on learning to cook in the traditional way of the old Roman countryside with Maria and Sora Anna (pictured above) who share a passion for authentic Roman country cuisine.
Sora Anna has be called the “Queen of the Matriciana” by Stefano Bonilli of Gambero Rosso, the “Queen of Roman cooking” by the great chef Heinz Beck and the “High Priestess of Authentic Traditional Roman Cooking” by Bob Noto.
We’ll join her in the kitchen of her Osteria in San Cesareo where she will reveal the subtleties and secrets of a culinary tradition which dates from the era of the Caesars.
Anna’s extensive knowledge, internationally recognized culinary abilities and sheer passion for her vocation ensure a stimulating and extremely enjoyable learning experience.
Based in Tropea, the one day Calabria cooking classes of In Italy Tours are perfect for anyone wanting a truly authentic introduction to traditional Calabria recipes and cuisine.
You will start learning the secrets with these hands-on cooking lessons located in a family estate of rolling olive groves and vineyards with your hosts Peppe & Vera.
It is a wonderful setting and Peppe has been a chef for over 30 years and the recipes he prepares have been handed down from one generation to the next.
The recipes are no longer even used in the restaurants of Tropea and all the ingredients are sourced from the family farm.
You'll also notice a large portion of land dedicated to his chillie pepper production which plays a major role as you taste his home made Nduja.
The following day long food tours are proposed by In Italy Tours based in Tropea.
They should be considered as complementary alternatives to other week long tours and special tours run by Tania in Calabria.
MORNING FISHING EXCURSION IN TROPEA
Enjoy sailing the crystal, clear waters of the Tyrrhenian sea from the port of Tropea with our local friend and fisherman Francesco and learn to cook local seafood dishes from your day’s catch.
You’ll learn to identify the local fish caught in these waters which play a major role in the cuisine of Calabria’s coast and how to clean and prepare your catch for a wonderful seafood lunch on board.
Day’s schedule
• Meet at the port of Tropea 9.00 am.
• Set sail with Francesco.
• Fishing and cooking instruction.
• Lunch on board with local Calabrian wines included.
• Return to Tropea’s port at approximately 3 pm.

This tour by In Italy Tours based in Tropea is both a gastronomic odyssey and a luxury adventure in Calabria to experience the genuineness of a region rarely visited.

This original week long Rome cooking tour by In Italy Tours is located in the Castelli Romani, about 30 minutes from central Rome.
It has been designed to allow the visitor to meet local people, dine with them, cook with them and see close up their daily life in the famous Roman Hills, not least to explore local food in the company of celebrated chef Anna Dente.
Your base is Lanuvio and the tour includes visits to such wonderful places as Frascati, San Cesareo, Nemi, Genzano di Roma and Castel Gandolfo.

A luxury cruise by In Italy Tours in an elegant two masted sail yacht departing from the Calabria fishing village of Tropea to Sicily and taking in the main Aeolian Islands of Stromboli, Salina, Vulcano, Filicudi, Panarea and Lipari. Your accommodation is a classic 22 meter 'caicco salato' built in 1991.
Each of the five double cabins has its own bathroom with shower, as well as a large shared lounge room with bar. Deck facilities include a teak wood pru on which to sunbathe and dive into the turquoise Mediterranean sea while meals are served on the bridge in complete seated comfort.
During your cruise take the opportunity to enjoy the water closer up by windsurf or canoe. Masks, fins and snorkelling kit is available for everyone.
