Tasting Tours have lined up this fabulous cooking and food experience to the olive oil and typical dishes of Portofino and the Ligurian coast near Genoa.

Today you will discover the Gulf of the Tigullio through its “pearls”, i.e. the towns of Rapallo, Santa Margherita and Portofino, and its delicious products.
Our first stop will be in the town of Lavagna, a fishing port situated in a strategic area between Genoa and the Cinque Terre famous for its slate quarries and olive oil production out of the Lavagnina olive variety.
Visit of a small oil mill which still sees and old olive stone press.
Introduction to olive processing and oil production, followed by oil tasting.
Next stop will be Rapallo for a tour of the historic centre and food and wine tasting at a local deli shop.
Lunch may be enjoyed in Santa Margherita Ligure or in Portofino.
The afternoon will be dedicated to learn some traditional Ligurian dishes.
Attend a hands-on cooking class in a renowned gastronomic laboratory specialised in fresh hand-made pasta. Lia, the owner, will teach you how to prepare some stuffed vegetables, the typical “pansoti”, the pesto and some other delicious dishes, as well as the typical focaccia with cheese.
Final dinner with the dishes prepared.
