If you want to experience the local gastronomy and cuisine of Umbria during your vacation or holiday in the region then get in touch with Daniela Paci who runs Happy Cooking.

Speaking fluent English, Daniela is a true Umbrian who has a special interest in the Etruscan origins of much of Umbria's dishes and recipes.

Her lessons and tours are also set in a local context of history, art and local culture.

Through Umbria cooking classes, private dinners and culinary workshops, she will take you to the heart of the Italian and Mediterranean diet and traditional home cooking.

Umbria is, of course, well known for its extra virgin olive oil, lentils, cheese, fresh pasta and truffles and wine, and special attention is given to vegetarians or people with food problems.

The activities of Happy Cooking take in the zones of Perugia, Lake Trasimeno and into southern Tuscany such as Cortona.

All proposals are flexible and can be tailor made.

 

HOMECHEF FOR PRIVATE MEALS

If you stay in private homes or in holiday villa rentals and want a private chef, Happy Cooking can arrange a private hef for your stay, special dinner or events.

You will meet Michele, a professional cook who can prepare Italian and/or typical Umbrian meals.

Happycooking can also offer hands-on cooking lessons at your rental accommodation.

The homechef will provide all materiala and ingredients for the cooking class as well as a selection of Umbrian wines.
