Sicilian Cooking Tour
1st day: Palermo Airport/Castelbuono (D)*
Arrival at Palermo airport and transfer to Castelbuono, a little medieval town on the Madonie mountains near Cefalù. Enjoy a welcome drink. Overnight and dinner at the Hotel 4*.
2nd day: Castelbuono/Cefalù/Castelbuono (B/L)* Breakfast in hotel. Visit Cefalù, fishing town with its Norman Cathedral and the Medieval laundry. Then back to Castelbuono, around 11h00 am hands on cooking lesson “Il Presidente” followed by lunch. In the afternoon visit a local Panettone production and walk through Castelbuono. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd day: Castelbuono/Monreale/Corleone/Castelvetrano (B/D) After breakfast, departure to Monreale and visit the Cathedral. Lunch on your own. Proceed to Corleone and visit a cheese factory. Accomodation near Selinunte. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Castelvetrano. Hotel 4*.
4th day: Castelvetrano/Mazara del Vallo/Castelvetrano (B/L/D) Breakfast in hotel. Visit a local a local bakery for the famous Belice bread. Visit a local olive oil production (Nocellara). Proceed to Mazara del Vallo and visit a pasta factory. Light lunch. In the afternoon hands on cooking lesson in a local farm followed by dinner. Overnight in Castelvetrano.
5th day: Castelvetrano/Erice/Marsala/Selinunte /Castelvetrano (B/D) After breakfast, departure to Erice. Walking tour of the little medieval town. Visit a pastry confectionery and taste the marzipan and almond pastry. Visit a winery in Marsala and taste the table and dessert wines. Dinner in front of the beach in Selinunte with grilled fish and sausage. Return to hotel and overnight stay.
6th day: Castelvetrano/Agrigento/Ragusa (B/L/D) Breakfast in hotel. Time at leisure. In the late morning departure to Agrigento and stop on the way for a short hands on cooking lesson with local vegetables, “the lord farmer” followed by lunch. Panoramic tour of the Temples and walk through the town main street. Transfer to Ragusa. Accommodation and light dinner. Overnight at Hotel 4* - Ragusa.
7th day: Ragusa/Modica (B/L/D) Breakfast in hotel. This day will be dedicated to admire the baroque sites of Ibla and Modica. You will taste caciocavallo cheese, chocolate and bisquits, cannoli. Also an oil press. Fish cooking demonstration on the coast, “the sea-man” followed by lunch. Return to hotel for light dinner and overnight stay.
8th day: Ragusa/Catania Airport (B) Breakfast in hotel. End of service with airport transfer or join our special extension “Tasty Taormina”.
