An opportunity to discover the three essential gourmet products of Piemonte; cheese, wine and chocolate. This gastronomic day tour is organized by Tasting Tours of Asti. who will help you experience the most flavors of the region and where to buy to take back home.

Meet your tour guide in hotel (or in a different place to be advised) and start the day by visiting one of the two most beautiful castles of the lower Langa area: Grinzane Cavour, or Serralunga d’Alba - imposing fortresses dominating the landscape and reminding of a glorious past.

First stop is the impressive XIII century castle in Grinzane Cavour which also hosts the Cavour Regional Enoteca and an ethnographic museum, or the Falletti castle in Barolo which hosts the museum of wine (Wi.Mu.) and the Regional Enoteca of Barolo.

Transfer to the historic town of Cherasco, known as the “city of the seven peace treaties”, snail farming and fine chocolate production. Visit of a historic chocolate producer where you could try and buy different kinds of chocolates, included the renowned baci di Cherasco (Cherasco’s kisses).

Possibility of having lunch in a local restaurant (at leisure), and try some snail dishes or move to Bra.

Bra, a real jewel of Baroque architecture, is the town where the Slow Food Movement was born in 1989. Here you will visit a cheese-maturation farm. From the turn of the 20th century the family has energetically dedicated itself to locating, aging and commercializing the finest cheese produced in the area.

Cheese tasting will follow. Before going back to hotel, visit of a Barolo producer in one of the 11 Barolo villages, e.g. Barolo, La Morra, Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d’Alba, etc. The visit will be followed by wine-tasting (3-4 wines).

Return to hotel or different departure point.
