Le Marche Holiday is run by Moreno Moretti, a rural development graduate based in the province of Ascoli Piceno.

With a family background in farming rare local produce, Moreno has tremendous connections with wine makers, truffle hunters, local artisans and country accommodation owners across the Marche region and beyond.

He has pulled these contacts together to propose a series of unique day trips and cultural experiences for anyone wanting to really get under the skin of the traditions and dishes of this wonderful territory.

The philosophy of Le Marche Holiday is to "provide vacation ideas which which will allow you to meet local people and see how they live and work".

Special attention is given to the traditions of the region which are in danger of disappearing, but which are kept alive by family and colleagues.

Hello from Le Marche! Growing up in a rural community I have always loved the beauty of the countryside and the rhythms of the seasons working with my father whose large orchard specialises in the production of old varieties of apple, such as the Rosa Sibillini.

This ancient strain of small apple was on the edge of extinction but we have managed to save and commercialise it. As a result our small family business is now part of the Slow Food Movement.
