Rome by Segway is a Rome based company running six guided Segway Tours across the Eternal City. For anyone who has not yet tried this most entertaining and ecological way of transport, then the Roman Forum, Colosseum and Appian Way are as good as it gets for your first experience.

We list a selection of the tours below. All begin with a short training session with your tour leader after which you will be handed a multimedia iPod-Video-Audio guide to accompany you on your trip. Do also consult the dedicated site for all the additional information you need such as what to wear and booking conditions. Insurance and Segway rental are included in the price.

SELECTED ROME BY SEGWAY TOURS

Rome in a Day Segway tour

Starts at 9:30am in the medieval quarter of Borgo Pio near the Vatican. You’ll see al the major sites from the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, St.Peter’s Basilica and the Roman Forum, but also lesser known sights such as the Church of St. Ignazio, the Maltese Knight’s gardens and the Temple of Claudio.

After the tour, there is a hearty Roman lunch of pasta, pizza and ice cream which is in the price. The tour finishes around 6:00 PM at the Borgo Pio offices of Rome By Segway.

€ 150,00 per person  (minimum 2 people).

2 adults + 1 or 2 children ( max 16 years old) 50% discount on each child

4 adults = 1 gets 50% discount.

 

Imperial Rome Segway tour

This guided tour departs the Rome at 9.30am by the Rome by Segway offices in Via Ostilia 29 next to the Colosseum. The trip takes in the famous seven hills and takes in the locations of the legend of Romulus and Remus, the Circus Maximus, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill and Capitoline Hill designed by Michelangelo. Then into the Imperial Roman Forums.

PRICE

€ 80,00 per person  ( up to a group size of 8 per tour leader).

The Imperial Rome tour lasts over three and a half hours and runs every morning of the year and in afternoons from 16.30 from 01 June to 15th September and 14.30 from 16th September through May.

 

Rome by Night Segway tour

At night Rome is a different place - romantic, mysterious, and often boisterous. This Rome by Segway tour starts at sunset. Meet at Via Ostilia 29 office before heading off into the night life of Rome. Destinations on the way include St. Peter’s Basilica, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, Trastevere and the Trevi Fountain. You will have plenty of stops at some of the city's best pizzerias, gelaterias and bars.

€ 80,00 per person  (up to a group size of 20 per tour leader).

The Rome by Night Segway tour departs all evenings of the week at 19.30 from 01 June to 15th September and at 18.30 from 16th September to 31 May.

 

VIP Segway tour

All the Rome by Segway Tours can be personalised to suit your own timetable. Book a VIP tpur and you will be met in your hotel with a chauffeur and driven to the departure point. After a short Segway training session, the tour departs with a private tour leader. Return to hotel by car again.

All tours last 3 hours 30 mins and some tours can even start and end directly in hotel if preferred.

All tours include: training and riding session – Insurance – Segway rental – Tour leader – Video Audio Guides – Private guide – Car transfer from / to Hotel.

Languages spoken are English – Italian (Upon request with no extra charge) - Spanish – French – German – Hebrew – Russian – Portuguese
