For Umbria food fans, the restaurant of the Country House L'Antico Forziere near Deruta is located in a strategic position for exploring Perugia and its chocolate festival, Torgiano and Lungarotti estate, wine and olive oil museum, as well as Montefalco and its famous Sagrantino wine.

Chefs Stefano and Andrea Rodella have created a menu combining creative culinary art and local tradition all supported by a selection of the most important of Italy's wines.

Both attended the hotel institute of Castelfranco Veneto, Treviso, following this up with working stints in important Italian and European cooking establishiments. Some of their original recipes have been published in such magazines as 'Viaggi e Sapori', 'Bell'Italia', 'Sale & Pepe' & 'Voyages'.

Rest assured that the restaurant uses Umbrian olive oil of the highest quality. In fact, it is produced following the old traditions in local olive presses near Spoleto and Spello which can be visited upon reservation.

Contact the L'Antico Forziere for your wedding reception in Umbria or other special event. 200 guests can be catered for in dinner or buffet set up and special events with tasting menus also organized.

The restaurant is open every day except Monday for lunch and dinner and it is possible to eat "à la carte". Restaurant times: Lunch 12:30 pm - 02:00 pm & Dinner 07:30 pm - 10:00 pm. Reservation is adivsed.
