The Licchio's restaurant and wine bar in central Taormina offers a typical Siclian menu and a great selection of wines. Located off the main street of Taormina, Corso Umberto, and within walking distance of the Greek theater, the Licchio's restaurant is a great place for a delicious meal or tasting menu.

The menu is based on seafood bought from the daily Acitrezza fish market, as well as meat and vegetable dishes in season. Every week different dishes from seasonal products are also proposed. All the preparations are made following traditional Mediterranean cuisine methods, but with a modern inspiration and creativity.

Expect to find smoked beef carpaccio, steamed mussels, sicilian salami, dried tomatoes, marinated seafood, baby octopus, tuna burgers, spaghetti with clam sauce, pasta with sardines, pasta alla norma, risotto, swordfish rolls, fish soup, beef in Nero d'Avola wine, veal scallop and lamb chops.

The restaurant boasts an inside garden setting tables which is available all around the year and consider booking the restaurant for your wine tasting evening. These evenings are combined with special tasting menus. The enoteca has a fine selection of Sicilian wines.

GROUP TASTING MENUS

The Licchios Restaurant & Wine Bar also caters for medium sized tour groups. Agencies can choose from a series of menu proposals such as the following. All are accompanied with the expert advice of a professional sommelier.

Proposal 1 -  €20

Features a wine tasting with side dishes of local products such as cheeses, salumi, torte and small desserts. The wines include Nero d'Avola, Malvasia, Marsala and Passito di Pantelleria.

Proposal 2  - €55

Is a tasting menu featuring carpaccio, risotto, fresh pasta, fish and a dessert of almond ricotta with a marsala wine to finish.

Proposal 3 - €40

Features fish and seafood dishes such as clams with pasta and antipasti followed by semifreddo icecream made of pistacchio nuts from Bronte.

The popular Sicilian cooking lessons of the Licchios Restaurant in Taormina are now taking place in the atmospheric Hosteria Rossopeperoncino beside the Cathedral of Taormina by the same team.
