The delightful Donna Rosa restaurant is just over 4km from the heart of beautiful Positano. Since 1997 the family owners have have created a romantic, refined place to dine and eat well. The restaurant is divided into two rooms. One caters for non smokers while the other is a small but sunny terrace. Indoors there is room for 40 diners while 18 can sit outside in the warmer months of the year.
The are no hidden secrets to the fantastic cooking at the Donna Rosa as all dishes are prepared in the kitchen which is open for guests to see. Anyone at any moment can also ask for information about the dishes in preparation to then take away and try for themselves at home. During the summer guests can eat in the open air and take in a splendid view of the green hills above Positano.
On the Menu
The dishes are all prepared by Erika with the help and supervision of the expert Mamma Raffaella. They range from classic home made pastas such as 'tagliatelle alla rucola con frutti di mare' to 'ravioli alle melanzane and 'caramelle di aragosta'.
Guests with a sweet tooth should try the crusty orange pie, hot chocolate soufflé and a variety of creamy mousses.
Papà Vincenzo is the wine expert and has built up a list with great experience and which includes virtually 'unfindable' bottles. He is also willing to deepen anyone's knowledge of vines, grapes and cantinas on request. Do not also forget the Grappa list and the list of Teas available.
Last but not least is Rosida who looks after the 'sala' and ensures all guests are relaxed and served scrupulously whatever the demands.
