That's Amore Restaurant is located just a few yards from the famous Trevi Fountain in central Rome. It is run by Fabio Bongianni who is also the inspiration behind Fabiolous Cooking Day for anyone wanting to plan an Italian cooking lesson during a stay in Eternal City. The restaurant can seat 60 diners and is also able to accomodate group bookings with special tourist menù.

The full menu for private guests can be found on the dedicated website, but expect a selection of dishes from around the Italian regions, as well as pizza and calzoni. For example, the pasta list includes homemade fettuccine with black truffle sauce from Umbria, risotto with porcini mushrooms from Piemonte and lasagna with ragu sauce, tomato and mozzarella from Emilia Romagna.

Classic Roman cuisine is not ignored and you need look no further than carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, arrabbiata and fettuccine all'Alfredo.  There are also seafood pasta and seafood second course menus We like the look of grilled salmon served with basil sauce, sauteed mussels with clams and stuffed squid.

As the name That's Amore comes from the famous Dean Martin song, you will be asking for your side salad by Gina, Frank, Marilyn, Sofia or Sammy Davis (lettuce, belgian endives, smoked salmon, tomatoes)

The dessert course features tiramisù, caprese cake (chocolate and almonds), semifreddo That's Amore and millefoglie with chantilly cream and flakes of chocolate. Finish with a That's Amore espresso coffee served in a large cup with egg yolks, sugar and wine beaten over a gentle heat.

THAT'S AMORE COOKING LESSON

Request to join Chef Fabio in the restaurant kitchen where your can learn how to make two types of pasta and two savory sauces. Your class begins with a short walking to get to know the famous outdoor food market of Campo de' Fiori. Following your hands-on lesson, you will have lunch in the restaurant. Want to learn more? Then book a further cooking lesson in central Rome with Fabiolous Cooking Day or even an out of town cooking visit to the Noor Luxus Resort.
