As well as the classic Venice sites and sights don't miss out on a visit to the wonderful Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari church and the Goldoni Museum, both nearby.

Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari took almost 160 years to build and boasts the second highest bell tower in Venice after Saint Marks. Many Venetian Doges have been laid to rest here, but also Titian and sculptor Antonio Canova whose heart rests in a white pyramid inside.
