The historical cottage Residence Paganini is located in the romantic medieval hamlet of Carro in the Val di Vara, province of La Spezia, just five kilometers inland from the famous Cinque Terre in Liguria.

Now offering exclusive cottage accommodation, this 17th century residence was owned by the family of famous Italian violinist Nicolò Paganini.

The musician himself used to stay in the 'residenza' to visit his paternal grandparents.

The current owner is Don Carlos Canevaro of the Dukes of Zoagli, a noble family originating from Genoa. He is also owner of the famous Canevaro castle in Zoagli near Portofino.

Following a careful restoration, guests of Residence Paganini are able to enjoy the same elegant and romantic atmosphere from that time.

It is an ideal spot for a relaxing and independent vacation in the Ligurian Riviera hills.

The holiday house is made up of a dining room with tavern, two sitting rooms typical of the period and a terrace with a view of the valley.

Four guests can sleep in two bedrooms with two bathrooms. Modern additions include a self catering kitchen and central heating throughout. Typical Ligurian courses served in the dining room are available on request.

A good time to go is during the Festival Paganiniano which is held every year in mid August.
