HISTORY OF BORGO GIUSTO

Borgo Giusto is named after the Giusti family, one of the original inhabitants. An enchanting and romantic spot which always remained in the heart of composer Giacomo Puccini who was born near Partigliano.

He was a friend of the Giusti family and would go hunting in the zone with their sons. Puccini used to sleep in 'Casa di Lena' and infamously shot a hole in the roof when joking with the brothers. The hole was discovered during the restoration to confirm the legend.

Restoration took 5 years (1995-2000) following the abandonment of the area in the 1950's.

DINING AND CATERING

The in-house restauant is called Il Gallo Brillo which serves up typical local dishes using the olive oil and wine made by the Borgo.

Borgo Giusto is an ideal location for private events from small business meetings in Tuscany to weddings, honeymoons or family occasions.

Additional guest facilities include mountain bike hire, horse trekking, WiFi web access near the bar, launderette, baby sitting and transfers.

The former for periods of at least one week during high season and the latter throughout the year and with a minimum 2 night stay requested. formulas include use of the swimming pool, solarium, garden furniture, tennis court, free access to the paths surrounding the Borgo (you'll need a map!), parking and recreation area.

Ask about the tours and vacation proposals to complete your stay: jazz evenings & concerts, traditional Tuscan cooking classes, trout fishing, balloon rides, tour of Lucca, wines tours, shopping tours and gastronomic tours.

The hotel was incredible. After months of research, we could not have been more happy with the hotel, the service, and the amenities. Our suite (granduca) was authentic and beautiful with a treasured terrace. It was quiet, secluded, and unbelievably beautiful. We could not be more grateful!
