YOUR STAY

Semivicoli is the small village near the town of Casacanditella, province of Chieti. At 365 metres above sea level you will be only 20 kilometres away from the Majella mountain range and just 20 minutes from the Adriatic Sea, so consider a stay at any time of the year to discover this unspoilt part of Abruzzo.

Recommended day tours in the zone include Guardiagrele, home to a thriving community of wrought iron and copper artisans, and Fara San Martino, where the famous Del Verde pasta company is based.

But the whole Maiella must be explored for its flora and wildlife. Many paths can be followed with a local guide, on foot or by mountain bike in the summer, or on skis in the winter. The Maielletta ski resort is just 30km away.

Semivicoli is also close to San Martino sulla Marrucina, home to Gianni Masciarelli winery. The current yearly production is more than one million and a half bottles and the estate owns 350 hectares located in each province of Abruzzo.

Most of the lands are cultivated with Montepulciano and Trebbiano, the typical Abruzzo grape varieties, but also Cabernet Sauvignon (in San Martino sulla Marruccina and Ripa Teatina) and Merlot or Cabernet Franc in the province of L’Aquila.
