La Tavola dei Cavalieri is not only historical residence accommodation near Assisi in central Umbria, but also a restaurant, organic farm and holiday destination suitable for families of any age.

This fully renovated medieval hamlet borgo is situated in 18 hectares of uncontaminated Umbrian countryside and woods of the Natural Park of Monte Subasio, 800 meters above sea level.

As well as Assisi, Perugia, Spello and Spoleto are all close by, as is sister accommodation Le Case, a beautiful 20 minute walk along an ancient path.

The nearest airport is Perugia. The nearest train station is Santa Maria degli Angeli Assisi. By car you need to arrive to Assisi town and from Porta Perlici follow the SS444 toward Gualdo Tadino up to Km 26, then follow La Tavola dei Cavalieri sign on the right.

YOUR STAY

The zone is perfect for long country treks, horse riding and mountain bike holidays in central Umbria. There is also the possibility of hiring bikes and horses, a conventioned swimming pool is available just 1 km away.

The Borgo is a working and didactic organic farm and cultivates its own crops, as well as rearing animals.

Childen will enjoy getting to know the 'Vero Nero' pig, a cross between the Iberic and Nebrodi Black races; and the 'Subasio Grey', a mix of the famous Cinta Senese and a large white pigs.

Both children and adults love the educational farm and cooking classes, There are also workshops to learn the secrets of making bread, pasta, cheese and even artisan beer.
