Relais San Biagio is a converted ancient monastery located in the Monte Subasio Natural Park in central Umbria. Its origins date back one thousand years. As well as a being a religious structure, it offered accommodation for nobles and Templar knights of the time and subsequently hospitality for medieval pilgrims travelling to Rome and beyond.

Today, Relais San Biagio has been carefully restored and is perfectly located for visitors seeking out the likes Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto, Gubbio and the nearby regions of Tuscany, Le Marche and Lazio. It boasts a Wellness centre, Phytocosmetic Laboratory with on-site spa.

ROOMS AND RATES

Guests stay can choose from 12 double rooms on three floors, with an additional 4 rooms in an adjacent building. The typologies of the rooms are Classic, Superior, De Lux and Junior Suite.

The refined interiors are as silent as the period of its construction and, although a lot more comfortable today, still have the atmosphere of the time. All feature private bathrooms with shower, hairdryer, safe, aromatherapy & tea sets and WiFi connections.

DINING

The refectory has now been converted to an in house restaurant with a fine panoramic view of the surrounding hills and woods. The menu is local Umbrian and made up of organic food cultivated in the nearby plots, as well as meat form free range animals.

The restaurant and relais can also cater for business meetings, training courses and group dinners for up to 150 people. Who could not refuse another famous product of monastic life, the artisan beer.

HOW TO GET THERE

By airplane the nearest airport is Perugia.

By train the stations are St. Mary of the Angels / or Assisi, Nocera Umbra / Gualdo Tadino.

By car: From the South East and the North: Take exit Fano and Ancona, follow signs for Roma – Gubbio – Gualdo Tadino. Pass towards Gualdo Tadino, Nocera Umbra, Foligno. At output from the bypass Gaifana Hill you'll see the indication of “Relais San Biagio.” From South: Exit at Orte and follow signs for Foligno, Nocera Umbra pass, the output from the bypass is Gaifana Hill and follow the sign “Relais San Biagio”
