Completely restored in 2002, Palazzo Tour D'Eau is a historical 19th century residence now offering unique accommodation in the hilltop village of Carunchio. The Tour d'Eau family constructed the original palace in 1830. Originally from Marseille, they arrived in Abruzzo following the French Revolution and their building is unique for its architectural style in the area.

Carunchio belongs to the exclusive 'Borghi Più Belli d'Italia' association. The village stands at 700 meters above sea level and is not visible form any main highway in the region. The Palazzo Tour d'Eau boasts a fabulous panoramic view from the highest point of the village of in the province of Chieti.

All the rooms have maintained their original style, but feature all modern comforts from autonomous heating to private bathrooms and satellite TV. Best of all, the corner rooms have openings to the lookout towers. Known as the 'Sentinella', the four corner sentry boxes have always guarded the valley from attack

The Palazzo Tour d'Eau can cater for receptions, special events and group meetings. Banqueting and catering services are both taken care off by the staff and the unique location high in the hills offers total privacy for your party or occasion.

The restaurant specializes in traditional Abruzzo mountain dishes such as the local 'ventricina', wild boar and white truffles. The preservation of this gastronomic heritage is important and you can savor the dishes with wine selected by the house sommelier.
