Look out for the little spy-windows which helped to spot potential attacks by Turkish pirates. The Masseria Torre Coccaro is an old watchtower which became fortified following centuries of Saracen attacks. The masseria subsequently became a working farm and small village. You can still find the chapel and workers houses near the courtyard
The remaining rooms are placed inside the courtyard of the Masseria and there is also a beautiful swimming pool with jacuzzi and built like a natural pond amongst the olive trees and palms. The main 150 seat meeting room is situated in the old olive oil pressing room placed in an antique cellar.
